Mission Hardwood believes in offering a turnkey solution and that is why we offer concrete slab preparation.
As with most things in life, a solid foundation is necessary to build on. The same is true for our solid and engineered hardwood floors. Installing a hardwood floor on an uneven concrete slab will cause problems after the installation. Low spots in your slab will be covered by the wood, but the plank will be “floating” over the indentation and you will hear a hollow sound when walking over it. Also, since the board will move every time you step on it, it will slowly lose its adherence to the slab. High spots cause the opposite issue and you will see the floor raise towards the highest spot. This will cause the tongue and groove of the flooring material not align properly which will cause raising of planks and gaps between boards.
So, what does Mission Hardwood do in those cases?
We have the latest concrete grinding and floating equipment available to insure your new hardwood is installed on a perfectly flat and level slab. From near dustless grinders to proprietary screed systems and concrete float made especially for hardwood floors, Mission Hardwood has what it needs to get the job done professionally and in a timely manner. We have different sized grinders to work efficiently in any space, all of which attach to vacuum systems.
Mission Hardwood offers:
